Govinda Bhagavatpada (IAST Govinda Bhagavatpada) edi Guru ning Advaita faylasuf Adi Shankara.[1] Uning hayoti va asarlari haqida kam narsa ma'lum, faqat u barcha an'anaviy hisobotlarda qayd etilgan (Shankara Vijayams o'qituvchisi sifatida Adi Shankara. U shogirdi edi Gaudapada (IAST Gauḍapada).[2] U haqida Adi Shankaraning birinchi misrasida aytilgan Prakaraņa grantha (risola) Viveka Chudamani. Madhavya Shankaravijaya-ga ko'ra, ketgandan keyin Kerala, Adi Shankara daryo bo'yiga etib bordi Narmada u erda Govinda Bhagavatpada bilan uchrashgan Omkareshvar. Madxaviya Shankaravijayaning ta'kidlashicha, Adi Shankara bir paytlar toshqinni tinchlantirgan Daryo Narmada o'zining kamanḍalu-ni (suv idishi) g'azablangan suv yo'lida, shunday qilib uning Guru Suvga cho'mgan Govinda Bhagavatpada Samadhi yaqinidagi g'orda.
